Day ski bus trips are perhaps one of the Club’s most popular activities. We run a combined average of 25 to 30 downhill and cross country day trip buses each year to some of the top-rated downhill and cross country ski areas in upstate New York and Vermont. Often the two groups, skiers and cross country riders will share a bus going to both locations on the same day.

Catch the bus and ride in comfort

Members and their children, ages 7 to 17, and their guests are driven to and from the ski area in comfortable tour buses provided by Brown Coach. We schedule several pick-up locations that are conveniently located in Albany (always) and Malta, Troy or Scotia (depending on the destination). And the cost can’t be beat: just $12 for members (family members age 7-17) and $22 for guests—you can’t even drive yourself for that price!

Ski for cheap!

Because we travel as a group, we receive discounts on lift tickets and trail passes, sometimes as much as 50% off the normal prices. Unlike season passes, which you must pre-pay for the entire season at once and typically require that you ski at the same mountain at least 8 to 12 ski days that season to break even, OC members (their children 7-17 and their guests) participating in day bus trips get the group rate for each trip you take, regardless of where or how often you ski.

FREE ski and snowboarding instruction

Are you a novice just learning how to ski or snowboard? An intermediate looking to tackle more challenging terrain? An advanced skier seeking to hone specific skills? No matter what your level, downhill ski and snow boarding lessons are provided on most day bus trips by PSIA-certified instructors to OC members, and their guests at no charge. That’s an incredible value! When you take a lesson the bonus is finding like minded OCers who like to ski like you do.  Now you found others to hang with for the rest of the day.

Whether you prefer cross country or downhill skiing, we schedule dozens of great day bus trips each season, most within a 2-hour bus ride from Albany (with some exceptions). And to accommodate a wide range of skiers’ schedules, day bus trips are scheduled for both weekends and weekdays as much as possible.
