All current members will be asked to approve the 2026-2027 proposed budget for the OC Ski Club at the general membership meeting on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at 8pm. Questions & discussion are welcome.  You may contact the Finance Chair (Bob Hossan) in advance with any questions about the budget using Finance@ocskiclub.org.

At this meeting the board of directors will also be submitting a revised constitution for approval.  Most changes are housekeeping but there are two (2) other specific items which need membership approval.  Any questions about the constitution changes may be sent to the President@ocskiclub.org.  Copies of the changes may also be requested.

1. In keeping with cost of living increases we are looking to increase the threshold of spending from the fund balance by the Officers and/or Board without membership approval. 

ARTICLE X — FINANCIAL

1. The Club treasury consists of:

(a) The Fund Balance, which is the surplus of Club assets over liabilities, and

(b) Funds collected for specific events/purposes.

2. Approval of an appropriation by the membership constitutes approval to expend monies from the Fund Balance.
3. Any sum up to five hundred dollars ($500.00) from the Fund Balance may be expended upon approval of both the President and the Treasurer.
4. An appropriation of up to one thousand dollars ($1000.00) from the Fund Balance may be expended upon approval of the Board of Directors.
5. An appropriation in excess of one thousand dollars ($1000.00) from the Fund Balance must be approved by a majority vote of the members present at a regular business meeting.
6. An appropriation in excess of the Fund Balance of the CLUB must be approved by two-thirds (2/3) vote of the members present. A vote will be taken at a regular business meeting.

1. Change the term limits of Board members from 6 years to 3 years to be in line with the term limits of the Officers

ARTICLE VII – Board of Directors

2. TERM: Members of the Board of Directors shall serve for a term of one (1) year. Board Members may not serve more than three (3) consecutive terms.
